Broken Arm? – How much can you claim?

When considering the value of injuries suffered as a result of an assault, the CICA will consider the “Tariff of injuries”.  This week we examine how much compensation you could receive if you suffer a broken arm.

Compensation for Broken Arm

A fracture could be suffered to the Humerus, being the upper arm bone, or the Radius or the Ulna, both being forearm bones.

Where a fracture is suffered to one arm, and there is an extensive recovery, the compensation awarded will be £1,500.00.  However, if there are continuing symptoms, the award could be as high as £3,500.00.

Compensation for two Broken Arms

If you suffer fractures to both arms, and again there was an extensive recovery, the compensation awarded will be £6,200.00.  However, if there are still ongoing symptoms, the award could be as high as £11,000.00.

Negotiating your way through the CICA tariff is not straightforward so if you’ve suffered an injury due to an assault, contact us today to find out how much compensation you could receive.
